About
The therapist who keeps you training.
Evidence-based rehab, delivered like coaching. Here's who's behind it and why I work the way I do.
My approach
Rehab and training are not separate things.
I'm Kyle. I'm a Level 6 Sports and Exercise Therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, and I've spent years getting gym-goers and athletes back to full without taking away the thing they love.
Here's the honest reason I work the way I do: I train nearly every day, and I know exactly what it feels like to be told to just stop. It's rubbish advice, and it's almost always the wrong call. Training isn't what's making you worse, too much of the wrong load is. So we fix the load, not the person.
I built Folletti Performance & Rehab to be the thing I'd have wanted myself: a therapist who understands lifting and running, treats you like a person, and gives you a straight answer instead of a vague "rest it and see." No jargon, no fear-mongering, no six-week sick note.
Pain is information, not just a problem. So we reduce the load intelligently, keep you training hard while we fix the injury, and build your capacity back up rather than sitting you on the sidelines. Rehab and training were never separate things. I build one around the other, and I use objective data to decide when you have earned the right to progress.
My job is to make myself unnecessary. The aim is not to keep you booking in, it is to hand you back a body that handles what you ask of it and the understanding to keep it that way.
Personal
Training is not a hobby I can put down.
I have trained since I was 15. Lifting three times a week, running three times a week, football, padel and squash around it. It is how I switch off and how I handle stress, and it has been that way for a decade.
So when someone is told to rest for six weeks and get on with life, I know exactly what is being asked of them, because it is the same thing that would be asked of me. That is why I will always look for the version of the plan that keeps you training.
I have run a marathon and raised over £825 for Tourette’s Action doing it.

Credentials
Qualified, and still in the classroom.
BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from Leeds Beckett University, graded 2:1 with the Dean’s Award of Excellence, and a member of the Society of Sports Therapists. I also supervise sports therapy students in clinic at Leeds Beckett’s Headingley Campus. Teaching the assessment process to people who are learning it is the fastest way I know to stay sharp at it.
